RegQ Terms of Use

Version 1.0 · Effective October 2026 · RiskQ, Inc. · Back to RegQ

Summary (not a substitute for the full Terms): RegQ gives general regulatory information to support your decisions. It is not legal advice, may be incomplete or out of date, and depends on what you enter. You are responsible for how you use it. RiskQ’s liability is capped at what you paid in the last 12 months (or US $100). Delaware law applies.

1. Agreement

These RegQ Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you (and, if you use RegQ for an organization, that organization) ("you") and RiskQ, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("RiskQ," "we"). By checking the box or clicking "I Agree," creating an account, or using RegQ, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use RegQ.

2. What RegQ is — and is not

RegQ is a software tool that provides general regulatory information and decision-support. It compares information you provide against a library of laws and regulations to identify ones that may be relevant to you. RegQ DOES NOT PROVIDE LEGAL, COMPLIANCE, AUDIT, TAX, OR REGULATORY ADVICE. RiskQ is not a law firm, and no attorney-client, fiduciary, or advisory relationship is created by your use of RegQ or any report. RegQ results are not a legal determination of whether any law applies to you or of what you must do to comply. You should consult qualified legal counsel licensed in the relevant jurisdiction before acting on any RegQ output.

3. Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for (a) the accuracy and completeness of the information you enter or confirm; (b) reviewing any information RegQ pre-fills, including data generated by its automated or AI-assisted lookup, which may be incomplete or wrong; and (c) all decisions you make and actions you take or do not take based on RegQ. RegQ results depend entirely on the inputs used.

4. Accuracy and currency

Laws, regulations, thresholds, deadlines, and penalty amounts change frequently and are subject to interpretation. RegQ content reflects our understanding as of the "as of" date shown on each report and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. RegQ covers a defined set of laws and does not cover every law that may apply to you. A regulation shown as "out of scope" or not shown may still apply.

5. No reliance

You agree that you will not rely on RegQ as a substitute for professional advice, and that RiskQ has made no representation that RegQ output is sufficient for any legal, regulatory, insurance, contractual, or audit purpose.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

REGQ AND ALL REPORTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RISKQ DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT REGQ WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) RISKQ WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY FINES, PENALTIES, REGULATORY SANCTIONS, LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO REGQ OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THEIR POSSIBILITY; AND (B) RISKQ'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO REGQ OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (i) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO RISKQ FOR REGQ IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (ii) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100). THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY TO ALL THEORIES OF LIABILITY AND ARE AN ESSENTIAL BASIS OF THE BARGAIN.

8. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RiskQ and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, fines, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from (a) your use of RegQ or any report, (b) your reliance on RegQ in dealings with regulators, customers, insurers, or other third parties, (c) information you provide, or (d) your breach of these Terms.

9. Advisor and client use

If you use RegQ to prepare reports for your own clients, you are responsible for your services to them, you must not represent RegQ output as legal advice, and you must keep the "not legal advice" notice on any report you share. These Terms do not create any relationship between RiskQ and your clients, and you indemnify RiskQ against claims by your clients.

10. License and restrictions

Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, RiskQ grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use RegQ and reports for your internal business purposes (or, on an Advisor plan, for your clients). You may not resell access, scrape or copy the regulation library, reverse engineer RegQ, or use it to build a competing product. RiskQ owns RegQ and its content.

11. Fees, payment, refunds

Paid features are billed through Stripe at the prices shown at checkout. Company Licenses and Advisor plans are subscriptions that renew automatically at the then-current price (Company Licenses annually) until cancelled; you may cancel anytime through the billing portal, effective at the end of the current term. Fees are non-refundable once results for the licensed company have been displayed or downloaded, except where required by law.

11A. Plans and complimentary access

Paid plans are: (a) Company Licenses, each covering one named company for one year with unlimited re-runs for that company, renewing annually; (b) Company License + Expert Review, which adds one 45-minute consulting call in the first year that is general business consulting and not legal advice; (c) Advisor subscriptions with a monthly report allowance that does not roll over; and (d) extra Advisor reports, each covering one company for thirty (30) days. Complimentary access may be granted to members of RiskQ's CIU advisory network at RiskQ's discretion and may be withdrawn at any time; these Terms apply in full to complimentary access, and RiskQ's liability for complimentary access is limited to US $100.

12. Data and privacy

We process the company information you enter to generate results. Automated lookups may send the company name to third-party AI service providers. Do not enter confidential, personal, or regulated data beyond what the form asks for. See our Privacy Notice at /privacy.html. We may use aggregated, de-identified usage data to improve RegQ.

13. Changes; termination

We may update RegQ and these Terms. Material changes will require you to accept the new version before continued use. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms.

14. Governing law; disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Any claim must be brought within one (1) year after it arises.

15. General

These Terms are the entire agreement regarding RegQ and supersede prior understandings, except for any signed enterprise agreement, which controls. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be limited to the minimum extent necessary. You may not assign these Terms without our consent.
